About Amy
Amy Edel served as a northeast bureau chief for GlobeSt.com and an editor, reporter and photographer for Long Island Community Newspapers. She strategized and managed print, digital and social projects for Philadelphia and Long Island tourism marketing organizations, and for brands including Brother, Kraft, Emerging Vision and Premier Home Health Care.
After earning her master’s degree in literature at Hofstra University, Amy served as an editor for National Learning Corporation and taught writing at St. John’s University and New York Institute of Technology. She’s written curriculum for nonprofit education projects and businesses. Amy developed and managed digital and social content for Swedish Institute: NYC College of Health Sciences and Vaughn College.
As senior editor and content strategist for Asbestos.com, Amy works with The Mesothelioma Center team to provide patients and their families with critical information. Her goal is to create content that helps build community and connects people with vital resources.
